Our powder coated baked enamel finish is tough and available in all standard colors. Body parts are finished using the same color as the doors, as standard. For quieter operation, each latch hook features a noise reducing rubber bumper. The welded doorframes utilize mortis and tenon joints and are spot welded for lifetime rigidity. Every door has a continuous door strike. All hinges are full loop, 5-knuckle design for knocked down construction and c-hinge for welded construction.
No matter the size of your facility, whether you serve a small client base or an entire school of athletes, we have the best gym lockers for sale. We start with our ventilated style which features 16-gauge steel for the frames and doors and 24-gauge steel for the sides, tops, bottoms and shelf. Each door has rectangular perforations which provide plenty of airflow throughout the unit which helps prevent the buildup of unpleasant odors, mold and mildew. Available in single tier, double tier, and box locker styles. Offered in beige and gray, these are a part of our quick ship program, meaning they leave our facilities in under one week. Best suited for moderate day to day use, these are great for use in facilities such as fitness facilities, hotels, apartments, theme parks, and rec centers.
NOTE: Colors shown are as close to actual finishes as the printing process allows. Do not make your final color selection based on the color shade shown on this page. Penco Color Charts are available for a more accurate color match. Exposure to high humidity, chlorine salts, abrasive cleaners, germicidal cleaners and acids can damage the finish and will void the guarantee. For outdoor applications or other harsh environmental conditions, contact your Penco Representative.
Locking options: various types of key locking or padlocking facility are available now. Key locking options include flush locks, cam locks, or locks incorporated into a rotating handle; padlocking facilities may be a simple hasp and staple, or else a padlocking hole may be included in a handle, often called a latchlock. More modern designs include keyless operation, either by coin deposit (which may or may not be returned when use of the locker terminates), or by using electronic keypads to enter passwords for later reopening the locker. Some older lockers used a drop-latch which was incorporated into the door handle, and slid up and down and could be padlocked at the bottom in the "down" position, but these are less used now. Three-point locking is not possible with this type of latch, because it needs to be operated by means of a latch that rotates rather than slides up and down; so this drop-latch is probably a less secure locking option, which may be why it is little used nowadays. Prefect Combination locks are very popular in school lockers used in the UK due to their ease of use and the time and cost saved in the removal of locker keys.
We make our metal lockers of prime, high grade class 1 mild annealed, cold-rolled steel. Additionally door frame corners are lapped and welded of 16 gauge steel to form a strong, rigid assembly. Furthermore Lyon fits all locker doors with nylon lockbar guides to reduce clanging and provide a smoother, quieter operation which is perfect for a school locker. These double tier lockers fit great as middle school lockers or high school lockers as well as gym lockers.
